Who has never been bothered by decompressing a zip file containing maps counter-strike, dod or half-life (HL1, HL2 and all its mods) and noting that the tree resulting from this decompression does not match that of Steam?

You all know 17Smi (see above) that you can install maps HL1, HL2 and mods in a few seconds.
Here now 17's Buddies Integrator Map System (17IMS), still exclusive 17's Buddies, which lets you in two clicks to create a map package, or one of several maps mappack.
This program simply allows you to create an archive file from a half-life map (.bsp) containing all the necessary resources for this map (wads, models, skies, sprites, sons, overviews, etc...) and only those!
Advantage System:
You are a player and when connected to your preferred server, you played on a map that you do not know. The HL engine has therefore you downloaded this map and all its relevant files and installed in your steam directory. Now you want to use this map to your team by creating a zip download , but then, how? What are the files needed and where were they installed?
You are mapper and you have your assets many maps. You just finished your latest work and are ready to upload. But then, when creating the archive, you forget to include a sprite and after publication, is a disaster! Your map bugs and doesn't start.
In both cases, no problem with 17IMS! You select the file from your map bsp and gooooo .... and the zip is created with all its files and you just have to send or upload.
The principle remains the same if you select multiple files: you will have a map-pack ready to install in seconds!

After the arrival of 17SMI, the worries of installing maps on a local machine were set for the common people.
Our FTP installation system does the same thing, but directly to a game server, via FTP.
Conceived and designed by 17's Buddies, this feature unique in the world has sometimes been imitated but never equaled !
This function (compatible with maps HL1, HL2 and all its mods) is accessible with one click from our downloads. Just to indicate the settings of your FTP server game and our script will extract the files in the map, directly on your game server using the FTP settings you have indicated.
The results are INCREDIBLE : The measurements showed a gain of speed until 50 times compared with a normal installation! For a map of 15Mb zipped, installation takes 45 seconds while with a traditional, must be close to 32 minutes!!
You can keep three servers favorites, selected from the top window from the dropdown menu. These three servers are by default, your game server, your web server using the variable sv_downloadurl (with or without bzip2) and a possible test server.
Note that even if your FTP login and pass you are requested to use this function, they are not stored in our databases to ensure the security of your data.
The site 17Buddies offers at this time 70 602 total uniques and verified maps including 34 985 HL1 maps and 35 617 HL2 maps, representing 183,99 GB disk space.
